EXSUL Travel offers bespoke adventure tours for the socially conscience world traveler. The word Exsul means wanderer in Latin and The EXSUL Travel Collection is dedicated to providing best-in-class handcrafted itineraries focused on allowing you to wander and explore India and the Himalayas in a hassle free, safe and secure environment.
Owners and Commitment:
The founding members of EXSUL, Harmit Singh and Tamara Kribs, are experienced travelers, tour guides and program developers. Their professional and personal travel experience, as well as their dedication to empowering and educating people through travel and culture, provides the energy to make each EXSUL Experience a voyage of discovery without compromise.
A Shared Travel Collection:
Harmit and Tamara are hands-on with each trip from start to finish and provide you with top notch guides, staff, transportation and accommodations in a safe and secure environment. With the exception of international airfare and travel insurance, all EXSUL tours are all-inclusive. This eliminates extra fees and charges, as well as other common nuisances experienced when travelling in India. A healthy staff to group ratio allows each person’s trip to be tailored to fit your own travel needs and requests. Adventure and culture are uniquely integrated into each trip through a variety of outdoor activities, including tours of local temples and monasteries. You will experience India through personal contacts, connections and friends of both Harmit’s and Tamara’s. Pre-departure orientations are a unique component to every EXSUL trip and take place in your home country or via Skype, providing you with pertinent information and time for personal questions and answers.
Socially Conscious and Responsible:
EXSUL Travel is unlike other adventure travel companies in that we combine a social conscious component that gives back to the local community every trip. Harmit and Tamara have partnered with several local NGOs in the areas that EXSUL tours. These organizations are long time personal connections that ensure your donations and time have a meaningful impact. Each extended tour dedicates approximately a half to a full day of social work with a dedicated EXSUL NGO member. And percentage of each EXSUL trip goes directly to a local NGO.
Some of EXSUL’s NGO partners:
Leh Flood Relief Project
Children’s School for the Mentally Challenged of Palampur
Tibetan Childrens’ Village Schools
Rajasthan Women’s Weaving Cooperative
Being Human Foundation – heart surgery donations for children from Ladakh
EXSUL Travel is committed to helping preserve the areas where we travel. Trash and waste unfortunately continue to be an issue for much of India, which is why all tours are committed to being eco-friendly by using biodegradable or recyclable materials, as well as make a concerted effort to maintain and clean-up the areas that we explore.
The EXSUL Experience:
The EXSUL Experience doesn’t end when your trip is complete. You will be able to access and share group photos on-line and Harmit and Tamara are both dedicated to keeping you connected to the trip you just finished, the next one you are planning and to the people and places you encountered through various social media sites (Facebook, Instagram, and Trip Blogs), on-line newsletters, trip updates, as well as in-country gatherings and happy hours.
